The CS-1 Control Surface is the central component of the RCT system and provides the user with a unique and comfortable ergonomic design allowing for control of up to twelve heads. The heads can be any combination of RCT H-1 robotic or H-2 stationary heads. Different camera types can be used on each RCT head including Sony PTZ cameras.

The design of the CS-1 is the result of discussions with several experienced remote head operators from different industry sectors. Comfort of use over extended periods was a major requirement.

Interchangeable drop-in panels permit future upgrades and custom designs. An external touch screen display is used for system set-up and configuration and is not required during field operation.

The H-2 is an innovative remote camera controller that provides a wide range of features to meet diverse application requirements. It is optimized for low-latency real-time control over IP or a wireless 802.15.4 connection.

For situations where a CS-1 Control Surface is too large, or tactile switches and knobs are not required, RCT provides the GSX suite of software applications that run under the Microsoft Windows operating system.

The user interface is designed to work effectively with a touch screen tablet such as the Microsoft Surface Pro and Dell Venue 11 Pro. A USB joystick can be used for pan/tilt/zoom operation or an onscreen, configurable, virtual joystick.
