Remote Camera Technology provides custom software for

Montreal City Council

While the historic Montreal City hall building is undergoing a multi-year restoration, a temporary city council room has been established in a nearby building. The audio and video design and installation was provided by Solotech Inc.

Remote Camera Technology (RCT) was chosen to provide the robotic camera control system along with a custom software application (CONGRESS) to integrate the video capture system with the audio conferencing system provided by TAIDEN.

The CONGRESS application provides a unique touch screen interface for managing several floorplan “scenarios” and creating multiple camera position presets for each delegate desk. The system integrates over IP with the TAIDEN audio conferencing system, Black Magic Design router and switcher, and the RCT CS-3 Control Surface. Twelve Grass Valley LDX 80 compact cameras are used along with Canon KJ17EX7.7B IASE servo zoom lenses. Full camera shading is provided by the RCT CS-3 Control Surface.
